Dickens' wine cellarAfter visiting the British Museum, I walk over to the Dickens House at 48 Doughty Street. It's so nondescript that I walk past it the first time and have to turn around and come back to find it.

It's a neat Victorian dwelling. Dickens lived here for only two years, but it's still worth the time it talks to walk through. As I look out a second-floor window, I try to imagine what the streets were like without cars and taxis.

The coolest part, I thought, was the wine cellar. I wonder what he had it stocked with when he lived here ...
